What is NBR?
NBR, or nitrile-butadiene rubber, is a synthetic elastomer noted for its excellent resistance to oils and fuels.

Advantages of NBR
NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) is one of the most widely used materials in the manufacture of O-rings due to its excellent strength and durability properties. This material offers high resistance to oils, fuels, greases and other chemicals, making it an ideal choice for applications in demanding industrial environments.
In addition, their ability to maintain elasticity and shape, even under high pressures and temperatures, ensures reliable and durable sealing, improving the efficiency and safety of the systems.
Resistance to oils and greases:
It is ideal for environments where petrochemicals are handled, making it perfect for the automotive and petroleum industries.
Durability:
It offers good resistance to wear and abrasion, prolonging the life of the seals.
Flexibility:
It maintains its elasticity over a wide temperature range, although its best performance is between -35°C and 120°C.
Cost:
It is an economical option compared to other high-strength materials, allowing for an effective solution without raising costs too much.

Limitations:
Although NBR is very versatile, it has its limitations. Not the best choice for applications in contact with ozone, direct sunlight or strong acids.
